The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts New Opening Times:

Tuesday to Sunday 10am-5pm.

Closed on Mondays, including bank holidays.

Please note the Centre will close at 5pm on Wednesdays

Admission to the permanent collections is free.

Cars & car parks

Vehicles will be unable to travel up or down Chancellors Drive during this period. However, visitors to the Sainsbury Centre will be able to access the Centre by driving through the north/west car parks( P2/3 which is parallel to Chancellors Drive), exiting the car park and continuing on to Norfolk Road. P2/3 is also available for visitor car parking during this period.

The Central visitors car park (P5) behind Elizabeth Fry Building will also be accessible. Access will be via P2/3 and then travelling up from the bottom of Chancellors Drive.

Cyclists

Cyclists will be requested to dismount and walk along the footpath through the closure area.

Pedestrians

All footpaths will be open as normal.

Buses

All buses will enter the University from Earlham Road and leave the campus via Bluebell Road. Buses will stop at bus stops as normal and at scheduled times, excluding stops on Chancellors Drive.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused. In all cases, advice can be sought from the UEA Security Lodge or from the Sainsbury Centre on 01603 593199.

Food and Drink

The Gallery Café offers light lunches, coffee and cakes. Open gallery hours, the Café stops serving 15 minutes before galleries close. The Galleries and Café can also be hired for receptions and special events outside gallery hours. Call 01603 593199 or email scva@uea.ac.uk for further information.

The Garden Restaurant offers the perfect setting for a leisurely meal. Open Monday to Friday, 9.30am-3.30pm. The restaurant can also be hired for private dinners and functions at other times. For more information about hiring the restaurant call 01603 591111.

Shop

The Gallery Shop carries a range of high-quality books, cards and gifts, inspired by world art and design, not available in the high street.

The Gallery Shop is open during gallery hours. For mail order, call 01603 593199.

Disabled Access

There is ramped access to all galleries but wheelchair users may need assistance. A manual wheelchair is available on request.
